Just 60 km from the city of Merida is one of the most important archaeological sites of the ancient Maya culture in Yucatan.

Every day a spectacle of light and sound show is presented at the archaeological site ; stories are told of the creation of the site , its history, traditions, beliefs and how this amazing city came to an end; while a set of colored lights on the buildings, emphasize details that at first glance are difficult to appreciate.

Hours: 8:00 pm in summer time ( the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October) and at 7:00 pm in the winter time .

How to get to Uxmal From Merida
By bus from the terminal TAME 2nd class , located on 69th Street between 68 and 70 from downtown Merida , times are : 6:00 , 9:05 , 10:40 , 12:05 and 14:35 hrs ; The bus costs $ 70.00 pesos, comes at 1h and a half and at the door of the site.
Arriving by Car: Take 65th Street to the Itzaes Avenue , you will find the sign for Uxmal , you can be reached in 50 minutes.
